CT Professional Educator:
My leadership style is grounded in authenticity and driven by connection. I believe that meaningful change begins with trust, transparency, and shared purpose. As an authentic leader, I strive to model empathy, integrity, and reflective practice in every interaction. My approach blends transformational and servant leadership, empowering others to grow, take ownership, and feel valued as contributors to a collective vision. I view leadership as service: creating the conditions for individuals to thrive, removing barriers, and nurturing a culture of belonging and continuous learning. Through collaboration and data-informed decision-making, I aim to inspire sustainable improvement and foster environments where both educators and students can flourish.
I am a learning specialist and early childhood director with over fifteen years of experience supporting learners from preschool through grade eight. I hold a Master of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from Southern Connecticut State University and a Sixth-Year degree in Learning and Thinking from The Graduate Institute.
I began my career as co-director and lead teacher of a NAEYC-accredited preschool, where I oversaw daily operations, curriculum design, and family engagement for more than 120 children each year. My expertise includes NAEYC accreditation, OEC reporting, and implementation of the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) and CT DOTS. Over the years, I have led multiple accreditation renewals, advanced data-driven instructional improvement, and designed inclusive curricula aligned with state and federal standards. As a learning specialist, I have worked across both urban Title I and affluent suburban districts, supporting diverse student populations in grades K–8 through targeted literacy instruction, individualized learning plans, and evidence-based interventions.
I am deeply passionate about literacy and inclusion. I am certified in both Wilson and Orton-Gillingham methodologies and co-led a districtwide phonological awareness pilot program designed to strengthen foundational reading skills for all learners. Demonstrating my commitment to inclusion, I pioneered a collaborative school farm initiative that empowered middle school special education students to grow and sell produce at a local farmers’ market—creating authentic opportunities for entrepreneurship, communication, and community engagement while connecting academic learning to real-world application.
In addition to my classroom and program experience, I serve as a board member for Early Start Milford and 12345 Kids Count, advancing community-wide access to early learning and helping raise significant scholarship funds to expand preschool access. Currently, I apply my educational leadership and human-centered philosophy as Chief People Officer at CyberLife, where I foster inclusive professional growth and organizational well-being. Looking ahead, I aim to lead districtwide initiatives that strengthen reading instruction, close achievement gaps, and ensure that every student has access to high-quality, inclusive learning opportunities.
